FAQ
Questions, answered plainly
Is Yesroom on Android?
Not yet. Yesroom is built for iPhone first. Android is planned after we have learned from our first households. On any phone or computer you can use Yesroom in a web browser at yesroom.app/app.
Can I use Yesroom on a computer?
Yes. Sign in at yesroom.app/app in any modern browser and you see the same household, budgets and list as on the iPhone, and changes show up on both. Trips, widgets, Siri, Apple Pay and Just spent need the iPhone app. In a browser, connecting a bank asks for a six-digit code we email you first.
Is it safe to connect my bank?
You sign in inside Plaid, so your bank password never goes to Yesroom. Yesroom can read transactions and balances but cannot move money. You can disconnect a bank or delete your account at any time.
Which banks are supported?
Banks and credit unions that connect through Plaid. If yours is missing, the app lets you tell us so we know who to add next.
Does my partner need to pay too?
No. The household is the subscriber, so one plan covers both of you. Your partner joins by invite.
Can my partner see everything I spend?
You share the household budget, list and buckets. A personal “mine” bucket shows your partner only its monthly total, never line by line. Visibility is always symmetric, and nothing lets one partner monitor the other.
Does Yesroom read my calendar and location?
Only if you allow it, and only on your phone. Calendar details and coordinates are never sent to Yesroom’s servers. Trips start on their own when your phone notices you walk into a store, which needs Always location. Matching where you are to a store happens on the phone. Without it, everything else still works.
Does it use AI?
In small, supervised ways: reading calendar titles on your phone and tidying merchant names. Every dollar figure is calculated by code, and sentences about your money come from reviewed wording.
What does “still fits” actually mean?
Two checks both pass: the category has room for the purchase, and your cash covers the bills due before your next paycheck. If a bank feed is more than 36 hours old, Yesroom shows the last figure marked stale and gives no verdict.
Will Yesroom block a purchase?
No. It informs and never blocks. There are no declines, no cards and no hard stops.
How much does it cost?
About $99 a year with a free first month, or $14.99 a month with no trial. One plan covers your household. See the pricing page.
How do I cancel?
In Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the renewal. Your data is not deleted, and you can export it.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Export transactions, budgets and buckets as CSV any time. Deleting your account removes your data and disconnects your banks right away. Copies in backups are erased as those backups expire.
Does Yesroom work offline?
The shopping list does, so it works in a store with no signal. It syncs when you are back online. Balances and verdicts need a recent bank sync.
Who makes Yesroom?
Yesroom is made by a small independent team. Write to us any time at support@yesroom.app.
